What’s the reason for the massive increase to the homeless population?

With an inclusive look into the homeless crisis, is it limited to the US or is it a global crisis? The increase is global. Is there a single reason for the dramatic increase?

All that is found are more questions. What’s the basic cause? How did it metastasize into a global crisis? When did the increase become noticeable? Is the crisis related to an increase in population? Or technology? Is it economic? Spiritual (drugs and alcohol)? Legislative policies that tolerate crime? Social policies that proliferate government reliance?

Individually, many of the homeless people want independence. There are, of course, others who want someone to cater to their needs with an unwillingness or an inability to take care of themselves.

Seeking independence is not a mental illness. What is mental illness? Drug addiction? The ability to consistently make bad choices?

An what of the spiritual realm of a person’s spirit? How long can this be ignored?

There are three aspects to human life: physical, mental, and spiritual. In addressing this issue, legislators refuse to acknowledge mankind’s spirituality. In dealing with deep issues of humanity, accounting of spiritual issues are part of the solution. Ignoring this aspect of the problem is merely the legislative body refusing to acknowledge a serious solution.

Is the homeless crisis a government-initiated problem?

The only function of bureaucracy is to enlarge itself. It places a worker to do a measured task. That employee is overseen by a supervisor and then many layers of academically trained management oversight. The government requires a college degree as its qualifying requirement to apply for employment. This provides a regiment for compliance. The two top qualifications for government management positions are gender and skin color. Skill level, ingenuity, common sense and job experience are secondary. This brings merit to the question: is the homeless crisis a government-initiated problem?

The specific originating cause of the homeless crisis is unknown. Its solution is as mysterious as the cause as long as the parameters of human life and the importance of a person’s spiritual well-being continue being ignored.

Drug use is an aspect of the spiritual realm. Physical regiments, mental health attitude, and spiritual well-being are equally important to have a balanced life. People forced into homelessness suffer a traumatic and stressful imbalance. The bureaucracy of government, when it commands its inhumane elitist dictate of compliance; opposes personal responsibility of seeking freedom and independence. Herein is a quagmire. 

The proliferation of homeless encampments is astounding. The encampments have grown into complete subcultures. They are un-policed micro-societies. The growth of rampant crime poses unmitigated issues that have yet to fully display consequences beyond the huge spikes in property damage.

How does the topic of homelessness enter into transportation? Urban growth is a product of the primary source of transportation. Government regulates transportation.

Urban growth impacts the lives of everyone who lives within its sphere of influence. There is no single finding of responsibility that tie the negative impacts of automobile centric land-use to the homeless crisis.

The ties to the homeless crisis lean toward a social acceptance in the proliferation of drug addiction. This social stance is exacerbated by the blind eyes of legislative mandate; ignoring mankind’s basic spiritual needs.

Perhaps this topic of chemical alterations of being a basis of spiritual satisfaction in considering it as part of the homeless condition is misplaced from being a topic of conversation here. Nonetheless, it is an issue in need of consideration. It’s like calling an ambulance to a medical emergency, the homeless crisis is an emergency that needs attention. Whose job is it to solve? The government is incapable to see a solution, a government is not able to perceive an individual’s personal religious understanding. As long as there are three components to human life: physical, mental and spiritual, every homeless person is important.

Who can be held responsible for the homeless crisis? The crisis presents a curious point that no one accepts responsibility for the situation. While many onlookers suggest that the homeless crisis is the responsibility of those who are homeless, the homeless insist they are a product of a failed society.

There is not an unlimited variation to lifestyle choices. It seems that many people are unaware of lifestyle choices. The one fact is that the lost are unable to find their way and the blind are unable to see where they are going. Imagination can be guided by misconception.
