Human logic and common-sense vs artificial intelligence

There an abundance of activity about artificial intelligence (AI). The fanfare and wild glorification of computer automation seems bewildering to me. Search engines have always used computerization. Computer algorithms to compile information and assimilate proper sentence structure is merely the next progression to spellcheck algorithms.

Analysis shows that computer algorithms lack tastebuds. In saying this, the AI programs adapt to user consistency. It follows the user’s natural progression in language. People in different areas use accents and slang words. Different countries use entirely different languages.

Computers have no emotion, no consciousness or moral construct. The consequence to AI assimilation of inaccurate word structure information is identified as computer "hallucinations". These are, in actuality: fabrications. In reality these are lies.

I was raised to believe that lying is wrong. Today’s world seems different. Lying, cheating, corruption, greed and similar attitudes are as though it is normal. Disruption, corruption, deceit, and disaster; fill the news headlines with distortions and distractions.

This new fanfare of computer documentation referred to as AI is little more than an extension of spellcheck programs. It uses self-generating algorithms to assimilate subject matter in proper sentence structure. When that algorithm finds exposed public information, that is: accessible for public use; it is therefore valid to be transposed into an original documentation. And, AI is entitled to appropriately claim ownership to that appropriated information.

There is a fine line between using, stealing, and misappropriating information. Kind of like finding the line that separates East from West.

Seems that every fifty years or so, society changes. Today’s world is different than it was fifty years ago. And that society was different than it was fifty years previous to that.

A computer, evaluates calculations

One of the mysterious concerns about the growth of artificial intelligence is the algorithm process of analysis to gain advantage (self-learning). A valid concern is the programed unrestraint in an algorithm to learn. Is there an analysis process to attain discernment of Godly moral values? Of course not, this is an impossibility. Can an artificial intelligence form a cognizant effort to seek wisdom? This too, is rhetorical, an algorithm is a mathematical process and incapable of unprogrammed thought, even though it self-generates its algorithm. Is there a guarantee that a learning program can maintain ameliorate values without have ameliorate having been a part of its program task?  The journey to life awareness involves human understanding with five senses and the path of theological and spiritual awareness.

A machine is built to perform a specific task. The task of information gathering and assimilating that information is relative to the accessibility of where that information can be found. Artificial intelligence will perceive all subject information as valid.

Social media programmers provide the accuracy of AI algorithms. Social parameters influence aspects of AI information retrieval. Popularity of information is an AI priority.

An AI hallucination is not considered an error, it is a lie. Or, less offensively phrased, inadvertent misinformation. Still; AI lies.

We see in public education; a proliferation of modern social constructs becoming a priority to curriculum. Again, societal changes bring perspective changes to moral values. This illustrates AI reliance to conditioning of the social environment as its program to gain advantage. The abstract intelligence is incapable of conscious realization beyond its primary function. It can learn to gain advantage which means distortion (cheating) and non-disclosure of minority analysis is an acceptable process. This processing is exactly the same as bureaucratic operational practice.

The presumed progression of the computer self-learning as it grows from words, to drawings, to video projection will be the implementation of three-dimensional printing and a type of physical animation. Could this type of AI; structure a self-induced DNA form to create its own ontogeny? 

What’s the role of computer technology in transportation? The summation is that computerization is involved in every aspect of modern civilization. This leads to the conclusion that computers are involved in every aspect of transportation beyond walking.  

As more advanced transportation systems are built, the more reliant upon computerized technology they become. This is also a necessary function for sustainable transportation.

Walking is sustainable. Today’s society uses faster speeds, very fast transportation is demanded. Technology is required. Although the principle in maglev technology provides adequate transportation speed to serve as appropriate transit systems, the technology used is computer dependent. As this technology expands, the switching technology for ticketing and direct to destination passenger service can migrate into self-directing guidance algorithms: AI.

People who would complain about artificial intelligence controlling their lives have either never used a microwave oven or are hypocrites. That, however, is a conversation diving into a philosophical argument and opinion based. The topic here is transportation.

Modern Transportation is computer dependent. Until the 1970s, transportation was predominantly mechanical. The exception was radar used in avionics which began in the 1940s.

Is AI a practical progression for autonomous cars and other forms of transportation? People trip when they walk, even animals stumble. Mechanical parts get worn-out and fail. AI has no discernment from good information or bad. The optimal place for automated transportation is within a grade separate rights-of-way corridor. As AI progresses in its development, it should present itself as holding a higher equity position in the importance and reliance upon the world’s future.
