Psychology of the Unknown

The psychology of fear and of the unknown, attracts familiarity

How does psychology relate to transportation

Everyone uses transportation. Why do people seem to have little interest in transportation’s future? There are a couple reasons. One, people fear the unknown. The future of transportation is unknown. Secondly, something that isn’t available; isn’t even a thought to be concerned about.

This blogpost is a little different. It's mostly an opinion piece. The topic is about psychology.

Although transportation is inconsequential to psychology, urban growth has everything to do with the psychology of human development.

In writing these blogposts, every once in a while; for those people keeping up with the progress, and helping the CATTCC blog grow; it seems appropriate to throw in a few personal experiences. My book publisher says it’s important to add some humor because transportation, urban growth, and theoretical physics are such serious subjects (the polite way to say boring). Since this blogpost content is different, it’s also going to include personal experience.

In the mid-1980s, I lived in the Westshore of Tahoe and started an advertising agency. The reference to an ad agency is now so outdated; the term changed. It would now be termed: a marketing company. It had a good name with a catchy logo, the logo isn’t available but, the name was Image Designed Advertising. Catchy names were fun then. I’d previously worked for another very successful agency: Begg, Barter, and Steele.

In those days of the advertising/marketing and entertainment business, studies of human behavior were essential to sell a product. Colors were intentional and set lighting was imperative for creating the mood. Every word spoken in an ad was written in a manner meant to sell the product. Beauty attracted and sex was an enticement.

As this blogpost is about personal experience, it also has everything to do with psychology. What that industry taught me was manipulation. And, I left. My goal is the beauty in honesty. Philosophically, there is more value in a pure gold bar than a bar of plastic with gold etching.

I’ve experienced many things in life, and have had hundreds of jobs in many different fields and have had several different careers. Experience is a wonderful teacher. Learning is expensive.

Failures in psychology

The science in academia psychology fails to teach that everyone’s fingerprint is different, and that a person’s favorite color can never be wrong.

In writing this blogpost, humor is important. Philosophically, a smile has great value.

Again, psychology is irrelevant to transportation. Facts are unequivocal.

In advertising, I learned to “sell the sizzle”. Emotions are everything, familiarity is next.

And today? The sunset for life draws near with a few years to go. Wisdom and honesty are the two most precious goods to hold. I’ll share what I know of wisdom in honesty. It is unequivocal: transportation is the next paradigm in technology. Why? Two reasons: one, it hasn’t happened yet. Two, it’s necessary. Society is primed for a new mode of transportation.

The blogposts on CATTCC are consistent; gravity can provide the source for efficient transportation motion.

It’s theoretically possible to attain one tenth the speed of light by using gravity as the source for transportation motion. This means a flight to Mars in two to three hours instead of seven to eight months. How significant is this? Who is this useful to? Is it significant enough to research and develop the technology?

I’m a member of Western Society in the Western United States. It’s a four-hour drive for me to go to Los Angeles. Last year I had to drive to LA. There were many road delays. The traffic was a detoured parking lot, it took eight hours each way. Compare this to making two round trip flights to Mars in less time. To me, it doesn’t make sense as to why everyone on the planet isn’t excited about this new potential in transportation travel.

Fear opposes opportunity and greed supersedes both

When the majority of people flick on a light switch, they expect light. They don’t want to know how electricity works. Society has adapted to the microwave life. Everything is immediate. An unfortunate consequence is that gluttony and rudeness have replaced patience and virtue. I have a mirror, it’s everywhere.

When addressing the psychology of people as a generality, the topic is literally based on an opinion of those asserting a generalization. Why am I even addressing this the topic of psychology? The subject is irrelevant to transportation. In terms of urban planning: psychology is essential. In politics, psychological manipulation is an epidemic. This raises a question about politics. Does political science teach aspects of propaganda and deception to manipulate mass psychology? Is it an intent to urban planning or an unintended consequence?

In terms of philosophy and transportation, what is the connection? Seriously, a dumb question, nonetheless; what role does transportation play to a person’s soul? Walking is part of life. Traveling via a vehicle is a tool. Transportation does affect social behavior. An analysis of urban growth shows three areas of impact with its transportation: economic, environmental, and social. The one aspect of social behavior relates directly to human characteristics: patience. And now we’re back to the instantaneous impact of the microwave.

Humor is important.

A de Broglie wave is a theory synonymous to matter waves. His theory explains that beyond light; all particles have wave duality of being both mass and a wave. The argument in the CATTCC explanation is that de Broglie's theory extends to particles following a specific path of particle motion.

The point of this blogpost is to point out that Earth holds a negative charge. Grebennikov’s device, with the CSE’s held a negative charge. Earth’s atmosphere consists of both positive and negative charges. Grebennikov’s negatively charged device would repel Earth’s negative charge. The pivoting fans would manipulate a negative repelling action.
