Futility of Sustainability
Let's question the title of why there's futility found in sustainability

What are the fences that block natures sustainability?
The dictionary describes interest as a feeling that accompanies or causes special attention to something or someone. People are drawn by emotion and are attracted to things they like. Okay, very understandable.
What’s the attraction for sustainability? State governments have caused disservice towards sustainability; it banned plastic grocery bags and plastic straws. And yet, the banned plastic grocery bags are filled with food goods wrapped in plastic containers. Businesses are forced to ban plastic straws but, the drinks are served in plastic cups. People can’t take such blatant fraud seriously. This causes people to interpret sustainability as another political lie.
Interest is a feeling. Sustainability has become an emotionally soured controversial word. Why bother with it? It isn’t fun to talk about. Lots of people feel the world is going to end and Jesus Christ is going to return soon anyway, what’s the point of getting involved?
And yet, here we are. There are a bunch of reasons why it seems like a waste of time to be concerned about sustainability. What about sustainable urban growth? Directly or indirectly, everyone participates in urban growth because of the community where they live. Urban growth is a complex and overwhelming topic but, also relevant. Can people be involved in things they have little control about? How much does urban growth matter? Is Earth headed full speed into obliteration as politicians and the media scream?
When termites begin chewing on the foundation of a house, its foundation becomes unsustainable. Can anything be done about it?
There’s an approach science uses in the statement: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. People are filled with emotion. From the aspect that feelings draw interest, what can people find of interest to sustainability? Some people over-react into hysterical emotional panic. Others ignore it.
It’s important to point out that plastic bags have little, if any, effect to sustainability. The emotional charge of protecting Earth from devastation by using a paper bag to carry groceries, is at most a sad commentary of political rhetoric.
Finding solutions
In terms of sustainability, everyone uses transportation. Poor third world societies walk. Large cities use public transit. Western Society drives automobiles.
Adding value to being sustainable was pointed out in 1987 by the UN’s Brundtland Report. This report established the definition of sustainability. It explains it as having environmental, economic, and social effects. There is no mention of plastic grocery bags or banning straws.
How can people be participatory in adding value to their lives with sustainable living? In an honest approach: it has more to do with individuality than most people assume. Common sense plays a huge role. It means being healthy. Eat good food, drink untreated water, and get exercise. Grow a garden and talk to people with a cognizance of nature’s spirit. Simplicity reduces stress and improves life quality.
Again, is the question; what’s the futility in relation to sustainability? It’s looking out the restaurant window to a busy street. Western Society is built upon the automobile centric land-use design. With all urban growth based upon the automobile, it renders Western Society unsustainable.
The design of urban growth is dependent upon its primary source of transportation. The automobile is unsustainable. A legislative push about plastic grocery bags is symptomatic of complete incoherence. Since transportation is the foundation to all urban growth, the basis of Western Society is unsustainability. It means that environmentally, economically, and socially; Western society is due for some changes.
Environmentally, the depletion of oil deposits is part of a larger concern. Actions from catatonic minded rioting protesters; lack understanding to the basis of urban growth. Legislative leaders have a totally different motivation. Oil is a hydrocarbon: produced by Earth’s constant motion of the undulating land tide from the ocean waves as the reaction from the Sun and Moon’s motion.
Sustainable transportation is the mission of CATTCC. Discovering new frontiers in theoretical physics is fun for some people. Figuring out how to apply Einstein’s Theory of Relativity is exciting. Finding an explanation of what gravity is, provides insight in how to apply its function to build a transportation vehicle. This endeavor has value towards sustainability.
Viktor Schauberger phrased it best: “comprehend and copy nature”. All modern transportation uses propulsion. Nature moves with centripetal motion. Propulsion of modern transportation relies on the use of centrifugal force. The outward motion of chemical explosions is destructive. One of the first steps towards sustainability is with the use of efficient energy for transportation.
As found on the CATTCC information page, the new paradigm in technology is transportation.
Proposing gravity as a source of motion for transportation becomes viable with a new perspective that explains what gravity is. With society demanding that methodologies of transportation improve, it provides the motivation to find these new methodologies. It opens the door as the next step for intellectual evolution of technology to transportation.
Current modes of transportation have caused a mess. The entirety of Western Civilization revolves around the automobile. Although Western Society began its growth with train technology, and its pattern of real estate development was transit oriented, it has evolved into an automobile centric pattern of growth. As Western Society replaced its source of transportation from trains and streetcars to the automobile, it became dependent upon the proliferation of unsustainability. The automobile is wholly unsustainable; economically, environmentally, and socially. Building an entire society upon this unsustainable foundation becomes problematic.
As to the futility with unsustainability, it’s imperative to discover and build a sustainable methodology of transportation. Developing a methodology of transportation utilizing a new perspective of gravity as the source of movement, provides a valid solution.
Please, support the efforts of CATTCC.
